K12 Homeschool

I just heard about another homeschooling option. Some of you may have checked it out already, and many may be like me and have never heard of it. Anyway, the enrollment fee is extremely low, but it gives you the full course curriculum. You do have to buy materials though, and I must admit that I did not add it all up to see what the final per year cost would be. Anyway, if you're interested, check them out using the link below.

Something to consider.....
My sister used this two years ago. In some states k12 has an affiliation with the PS system and are accredited, Utah being one of them. Which means no out-of-pocket for the curriculum, the state pays for it. Maine is "not yet on their list" is what they told me three tears ago when I inquired.
Anyway...a word of warning about k12....it is very rigid, alot of book work and there is alot of reporting and accountability to your assigned teacher. So it's a trade off. Yes, all of the stuff is free, but they also keep very close tabs on you.....which was a turn off for me because I love the freedom of homeschooling. Ofcourse in Maine, this does not apply, as we are not accredited. As for buying it your self, you have the option of paying for the teacher services or not. And the curriculum, if I remember right it is about $500.00 per year per kid.
